Giada De LaurentiisGiada De Laurentiis, the gorgeous gourmet chef who hosts Everyday Italian on Food Network has just announced that she is going to be a mother. Giada and her husband, Todd, have been together since 1991, so people have been wondering when a baby would come into the picture. Apparently, the answer to that is in April when Giada will give birth.

She announced the happy news on The Today Show, where she is one of the contributors. The baby is a girl and is currently just 5 ounces and no more than 5 inches in length. Giada has described her as the size of a lemon, but with “fingers and toes, ears and lips.”

In good humor, Giada jokingly said that cravings have caused her to hate pasta these days. However, it was just a joke as she went on to say that she loves starch and actually craves it. Luckily for the celebrity chef she is over the morning sickness phase that pregnancy causes and is on to more interesting things like cravings and other fun parts of pregnancy.

Smuckers Peanut Butter Pie Recipe PictureI am not a huge peanut butter eater unless it comes to desserts. You will rarely, if ever, see me eating a PB&J, but desserts are another story. I must get it from my mother. She loves peanut butter pie and is incredibly picky to please when it comes to what she likes and what she doesn’t. As a result, I find myself experimenting a lot with different pie recipes to see what she prefers. This is going to be the next one on my list. Once I make it (sometime this week), I will let you know how it goes.

In the meantime, if you’ve tried it feel free to leave a comment and tell me your thoughts!
